Robin joined the Signs of Hope Board of Directors in June 2023. Currently retired, Robin is a former finance executive with more than 30 years of experience, primarily in the energy industry. She held a variety of finance, performance management, and governance roles during her career, including Controller for BP’s western hemisphere oil and gas exploration and production operations and CFO of BP Russia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Since moving to Las Vegas in 2018, Robin has worked with several local nonprofit organizations and hopes to make a significant contribution to Signs of Hope.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Shatoyia Nelson recently finished her master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. She also received her BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With over eight years of experience in Human Resources, Shatoyia also holds a Professional in Human Resources certification. She is very passionate about serving the community that she has been a part of her entire life.

Toni Prioleau

Toni moved to Las Vegas, NV, as a child with her military family. Raised in North Las Vegas, Toni is a graduate of UNLV with a BA in Business Management 1989. Toni has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) for over 8 years managing national and global projects in IT and site relocations. She has been employed with United Healthcare (UHC) since 2016 as a Senior Project Manager and leads a team in the Sales and Account Management department for the Nevada Market. Toni has a deep passion for the mission of Signs of HOPE to help victims of sexual violence and joined the Board in 2023.

Lori has 20+ years of experience in finance, accounting & operations both in public accounting and in the private sector. Her experience includes “C” level positions in cryptocurrency, energy, healthcare technology, financial services and consulting services.Currently, Lori serves as a Senior Manager for Eide Bailly’s outsourced managed services group. Prior to Eide Bailly, Lori served as the CFO of CleanSpark, a NASDAQ publicly traded company, where she was responsible for financial strategy, SEC financial reporting, and internal controls. She has spent the majority of her career focusing on strategic business planning, implementation of technology, processes and other efficiency improving measures. Highly experienced in several areas of financial and operational discipline, Lori has successfully raised over $750 million in capital, completed multiple acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, implemented & migrated both financial and operational software, implemented Sarbanes Oxley 404 & successfully positioned an organization to be purchased. Lori has successfully managed multiple departments including: finance, operations, administration, compliance, and human resources. Prior to her work inthe private sector, Lori was an auditor for RSM McGladrey focusing primarily on high risk engagements in financial services. She successfully led engagement teams on both private and public companies and in multiple states.

Verna Griffin

Verna Griffin-Tabor, M.S.W.

Verna Griffin-Tabor, M.S.W. : Former Chief Executive Officer, Center for Community Solutions

Verna Griffin-Tabor has worked in the field of sexual assault and relationship violence for more than 40 years. From 1998 to 2023, she served as the CEO of Center for Community Solutions (CCS) —an innovative, non-profit social services agency serving survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, and elder abuse in San Diego County. Over 50+ years, CCS has celebrated many achievements, including being the first women’s center in the country, operating the first temporary restraining order clinic in the state, and currently staffs the only rape crisis center in the City of San Diego.

Verna’s career has been dedicated to the prevention and intervention of sexual assault,  relationship violence, elder abuse and human trafficking. She served on the board of the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence for five years; as well as various community boards, including University of San Diego’s Advisory Board on Non-Profit  Management and Blue Shield of California’s Advisory Board. Verna has achieved numerous prestigious honors and awards. In 2019, she was named “Woman of the Year” by San Diego Magazine; San Diego Daily Transcript honored her as the “Distinguished  Non-Profit Leader,” and she was a finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s “Non-Profit  CEO Leader of the Year.”

In addition, Verna received the Non-Profit Management Award for “Excellence in  Leadership”; the San Diego Domestic Violence Council’s “Lifetime Achievement  Award.”; the San Diego County Bar Association’s “Distinguished Citizen Award”; and  the San Diego Domestic Violence Council’s “Andrea O’Donnell Award.” She served as  President of the San Diego Domestic Violence Council. Verna earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology from University of Maryland and a master’s degree in Social  Work from Yeshiva University.

Sally Baragar

Sally Baragar is an accomplished Human Resources leader with over 20 years of experience specializing in Human Resources management, talent development, organizational strategy, and employee engagement. Sally is currently the Executive Director, Consulting Services with SimplifyHR. Sally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Chapman University. Throughout her career, Sally has been passionate about creating inclusive and empowering workplace cultures that support both individual growth and business success.

Beyond her professional work, Sally is deeply committed to giving back to the community. She has volunteered her time and expertise with organizations such as Option House and Child Help USA, both dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by abuse and trauma.

Sally is honored to join the Signs of Hope Board and is excited to contribute to its mission of providing critical services, advocacy, and support to those impacted by sexual violence and trauma. She looks forward to making a meaningful impact alongside such a dedicated group of individuals.
