About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of HOPE (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    24-Hour Hotline

    If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.
    Advocates cannot take actual reports of sexual assaults or respond to a scene if you are in danger. 

    Our hotline is available 24/7/365 and is answered by trained SOH staff and volunteer advocates. Advocates are not trained mental health counselors.  

    Advocates can assist with:
    – Finding resources for victim-survivors
    – Information on next steps if someone has been sexually assaulted – Connections to the programs and services of the SOH.
