About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of HOPE (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

Dear Signs of HOPE Community Members,

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer season. As we enter the new fiscal year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements and share some exciting updates with you.

Firstly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your unwavering dedication. Your commitment has been essential in driving the success of Signs of HOPE and making a significant impact in our field.

Looking back on the past year, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones across all our departments. We’ve provided critical resources and services to over 1,450 clients affected by human trafficking and sexual violence, along with 170 counseling clients. Additionally, we’ve educated more than 4,100 students. These achievements underscore our collective commitment to excellence.

Looking forward, we have ambitious goals ahead. We’re focused on expanding our outreach, enhancing our services, and strengthening our relationships with our community. Our ability to innovate, adapt, and collaborate effectively will be crucial to our continued success.

As we embark on this journey, we must have your collective involvement…”If you want to go far, go together.” Together, we have the potential to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Thank you once again for your dedication. I am immensely proud to lead such an amazing organization.

    With gratitude,

    Kim Small
    CEO, Signs of HOPE
