About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of Hope (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    2025 marks the 51st anniversary of Signs of HOPE! For 51 years, Signs of HOPE has been working towards our mission to offer hope, help, and healing to those affected by sexual violence and exploitation.

    As we reflect on our last 51 years as an organization, we are in awe of the strength and resilience of the victim-survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking which includes clients, first responders, and SOH’s dedicated team. This year, we honor this commitment to ending sexual violence in our community as we build the next 51 years of
    Signs of HOPE.


    This year, our goal is to raise $510,000 so we can continue supporting victim-survivors of sexual violence with healing services, resources, and education. Thank you to our generous donors, volunteers, staff, and community for supporting our efforts!

    Making an Impact

    Denim Day

    Today, we want to show our deepest gratitude to our generous donors, volunteers, staff, and community for helping us raise $35,000 in honor of Denim Day. Because of you, we can support victim-survivors of sexual violence and exploitation with even more healing services, resources, and education.

    We are thrilled to announce that our Night Out with News3 event is back! After missing the opportunity to hold three key fundraising events, SOH needs your support more than ever.

    Please join Signs of HOPE and News3 for an intimate evening filled with laughter, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and raffles.
