About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of Hope (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    We are thrilled to announce that our remarkable progress on Black Monday has propelled us to unprecedented heights. We’re delighted to inform you that Black Monday will undergo a transformation, emerging as “ReCon: Recovery Conference.” ReCon will encompass morning sessions that include:

    1. Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
    2. Professional Development Credits (PDs)
    3. Continuing Medical Credits (CMEs)
    4. A Grief Workshop
    5. A Recovery Wellness Workshop

    Following these enriching morning sessions, we will continue to feature the cherished elements of our traditional Black Monday programming. We remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to engage in the vital work we do.
