About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of Hope (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    Reiki Healing Circle

    March 21, May 16, July 18, September 19, & November 21 at 4:45 PM

Reiki is a natural technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and supports healing. Reiki practitioners use their hands to deliver energy to the body, improving the flow and balance of energy to support healing. Reiki is believed to aid in healing by helping people become energetically balanced – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. It can bring on a meditative state, foster tissue and bone healing, stimulate the body’s immune system, and relieve pain and tension.

Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-invasive form of natural energy-based healing that can be used to complement other forms of treatments. It is used all over the world, including in hospitals and hospices. Clients may opt for a hands-on or hands-off healing touch. This group is donation-based, and any amount of donation for the practitioner is welcome. This is a monthly event held on Thursdays every other month from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM. Mats are provided and no prior experience is necessary, but an RSVP is required. To RSVP, please call 702-385-2153.

    Pelvic Floor Therapy

    February 15, April 11, May 16, June 20, August 15, October 17, & December 19 at 4:45 PM

While trauma is often thought of as a mental or emotional issues, it can also manifest physically in the body. One area where emotional trauma can be stored is the pelvic floor. During trauma, the body responds by tightening muscles to protect us, but this tension can be problematic later on and can impact the ability to control bladder and bowel function, sexual function, and daily structural function and support.

The pelvic floor therapy group is a hands-off group, where participants are led in stretching and muscle exercises, as well as breathing retraining, to help strengthen and relax the pelvic floor muscles. This group is a donation-based, and any amount of donation for the practitioner is welcome. This is a monthly event held on Thursdays every other month from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM. Mats are provided and no prior experience is necessary, but an RSVP is required. To RSVP, please call 702-385-2153.
