Lynnette Monk joined Signs of Hope in November of 2024 as the Clinical Director. She is originally from Northen California and has been a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada for over twenty years. Lynnette has spent her professional career over the past two decades advocating for victims and families, working in non-profit, private practice, Safe Nest, WEAVE (Rape Crisis Center) in Sacramento, local government sectors; Clark County Family Services, Clark County Juvenile Services, and Las Vegas Justice Court. Lynnette has also worked in the field of mental health and interpersonal violence for over 20 years, in addition she has experience as a rape crisis advocate/domestic violence advocate, child and adult therapist, and sexual violence therapist. Lynnette has experience in facilitating training regarding the topics of sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, and cultural competency. Her experience in direct service informs the guiding principles of her approach to supervision and leadership. Ms. Monk has many years of experience helping implement trauma focused client driven service to primary and secondary victims. Ms. Monk holds both a bachelor’s from California State University Sacramento and master’s degree from Regis Univeristy in psychology, and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she is also an approved supervisor for clinical interns working towards licensure. Lynnette is excited to be part of the Signs of Hope team and to be able to work alongside individuals who envision a world without physical, sexual, or psychological violence.
