About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of HOPE (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    FOX5 Vegas highlighted Signs of HOPE’s free sexual abuse prevention programs for Clark County schools. These age-appropriate programs reach students at different stages of development through offerings including Care for Kids, the Child Assault Prevention Program, We Care and YourSpace.

     

    By giving students tools to recognize unsafe behavior and support one another, our prevention and education programs help create safer schools and stronger communities.
