About Us

Founded in 1974 as Community Action Against Rape (CAAR), Signs of HOPE (SOH) began as the combined effort of Florence McClure and Sandra Petta, two women living in Las Vegas who were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for those affected by sexual support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

    Signs of HOPE is proud to welcome Maureen Abdelsayed to its Board of Directors. An accomplished executive, attorney and entrepreneur, Abdelsayed brings experience in legal strategy, organizational leadership and community engagement to support our mission.

    Her leadership will help strengthen Signs of HOPE’s work providing resources, advocacy and healing to survivors of sexual violence and human trafficking throughout Southern Nevada.
